"Tip of the Week"

Here's another tip from Harvey Segal entitled Save time and win customers ... by HIDING your Email address.

It is always advisable to welcome questions from visitors to your web site, so that you can provide a personal touch and establish a good relationship.

But as your traffic inevitably increases you certainly don't want to be swamped by Email queries.

Here is what you do - and it brings lots of benefits.

First, you accumulate a list of common questions and set up a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page.

This is a common solution but at this point most people make the same mistake - they provide a link from their sales page to the FAQ page but keep their Email address on the sales page.

The secret is to remove the address and only put it on the FAQ page. Why ?

This will force your visitor to read the FAQ first, hopefully eliminating 90% of the questions you would otherwise receive.

But don't just put a series of questions and answers.

* Take the opportunity to surround every question with a positive benefit.

* Introduce additional material that may have been too much to include on the original page.

* And finish up with some motivating copy to get you reader to order.

The result ?

Your reader will have gained by finding answers to questions he had not thought of and discovering extra benefits offered by your product.

And you will have fewer messages in your Email box.

Financial Freedom by Al Freeman

Freedom comes with the security of having more income than expenses. The only thing stopping us is COMPOUNDING INTEREST. It's what makes your credit cards, car payment and especially your mortgage bleed your finances dry.

The 8 or 9 percent that you signed up for is suddenly 90% in interest and 10% in principal. What happened to the 8 percent interest? Oh it's there but by some kind of mathematical wizardry it grew! The frightening thing is, it will continue to grow. If you can't accelerate the principal payment your life saving is going to someone else.

Think about it..your mortgage was for.. lets say $100,000.00 for ease of calculating, with 8% interest and monthly payments of $900. At the end of the first year you will have paid over $10,000 dollars in principal and interest (P & I) and reduced your loan by a mere $300 .

How can you possibly get ahead like this? You will: 30 years from now!

What's not always clear is how a small amount of money creates a huge savings for you. Remember how your 8% became 75% or more? The "MATHEMATICAL WIZARDRY" works in your favor also!

Every extra dollar saves you 10 fold in compounding interest.

OK enough of the problem now a solution. This will be so simple it will cost you $20 and yet be so hard to do.

You may have heard the old saying "if you make one extra payment per year you can reduce your mortgage time to 15 years rather than 30". Sounds great, but who can afford to make two payments in the same month?

The mathematics are there, making the additional payment, or more, per year will put money in your pocket in far less time. This applies to all credit card payments as well.

Start with the smallest balance, put ANY, I MEAN ANY!! extra pennies, into your monthly payment $20 to start. Set yourself a time frame for the first card to be PAID OFF. Don't worry about any others! We had a little ceremony and destroyed cards as we started into paying each one off, remember you can't pay it off if you continue to use it.

With the payoff of your first card will come a new found wealth! All the money you were sending to the first card must now be included in the next, and so on. You get the idea. Any remaining cards will be on an accelerated payoff. Don't forget to include the extra $20 dollars still.

Once your credit cards are gone you can start on "the mortgage". By now it's not a problem. If you were making payments on multiple cards you will probably have more than the "one extra payment per year". We found we could make much more than the one extra payment per year, greatly accelerating the change between principal and interest.

Remember not to accept any new cards or other loans. As your cards are paid in full you will be swarmed by others with a "deal you can't refuse".

As the process continues you will have to overcome a couple obstacles. One might be, the ability to go out and purchase those "chargeable" items.

Second obstacle might be that it's just so much easier to make the "minimum payment". Maybe you just can't find any extra to send. Here is something that helped us.

Clip Coupons! It's money you would have spent and didn't, so add up your savings and send that much extra to your first card. We found that an extra $20 per month wasn't hard to come up with, once you decide to just do it!

Whether you get the extra money from your current income or want to supplement it with an extra income you can't achieve Financial Freedom by paying compounding interest to someone else!

Never Give Up! by Brian Welch

When I first opened up shop on the Internet, I got a lot of advice and encouragement from my family and friends. One piece of advice sticks out more than anything and has really helped me to stick it out and turn my small operation into a very successful online presence.

The advice came from my boss. I was working at a wholesale distributor at the time. He had built his business up from a small pro shop to one of the largest wholesale distributors in his industry, so when he gave me business advice I listened. He told me that if I really wanted to succeed I could, but I had to really want it. He told me the two most important things to remember were to never give up and always maintain my integrity.

I know, the advice does not seem life changing, and it sure as heck isn't an original concept, but it has definitely helped me get to where I am today. Like many people out there today it took me a long time to build my business. There were many times that I wanted to quit and go back to working full time for someone else. There were many months when I was barely scraping by.

It was at those times when I would think about what my old boss said. If I really wanted success, I could not give up. I had to push on! Instead of quitting I would endeavor to learn more and more about being successful on the Internet. I would take more courses, read more books, study more web sites and consult with a business coach. I made a lot of mistakes but I tried to learn from each and every one of them.

So, if it is taking longer than you thought or if you are starting to become discouraged that your online business is not growing fast enough, do not give up. The worse you do the harder you should try. That one piece of advice has helped me build a very successful business presence on the Internet.
