Increase Your Odds of Success-Get an Education

So you want to make a living on the net. Let's face it, the majority of the businesses on the internet fail. There is a very good reason for that. Lack of "know how".

"What's that?" you say, "it can't be that hard"

Let's look at it for just a minute.

If someone wants to have a career in business and be really successful, the accepted course of action is to get some sort of education. Whether it's going to some sort of technical training school or getting an MBA from years of college work...education is the obvious answer.

Although education doesn't guarantee success, it certainly increases the odds in your favor.

"But I can get everything I need to train me right here on the web for free," you say.

While it's true that there is a lot of free training available, it's unorganized and in most instances there are gaps in content. Big gaps.

Have you ever downloaded one of the free courses available on the net?

If you have, you'll find just enough information there to wet your appetite and just at the right moment the course ends with a pitch for the "rest of the story"

"But what about all of those articles out there? You know, the ones that are like this one...published in an ezine?"

While it's true, there are many very good articles being published daily with excellent content but, it's not put together in a format that is organized enough to acquire the information needed to achieve an effective education.

"What about the ebooks that are becoming so popular today? Isn't that content organized?"

Again, there are some really good ones with excellent content. In fact, that is what got my fire burning to build an online business.

The problem is finding them and again, there isn't enough content to give you all you need to qualify as "getting an education".

Don't get me wrong, the information, for the most part is good, but the gaps are still there. Besides that, most of the ebooks you'll find are written and distributed for one reason...to increase site traffic for the author.

So what the majority of folks are doing today is, come online and start "feeling" their way around. By chance, they may stumble upon some of the right stuff but, usually they don't.

Think about it for a minute...

If the odds of success are so greatly increased that the majority of successful businesses today are run by folks who got an education, why wouldn't you want the same for your business.

It's a "no-brainer"!

The funny part about it is, the cost of an education to learn how to run an online business is such a bargain, but many see cost as a major obstacle and refuse to pay for anything because most start-ups are on a VERY limited budget.

Cost range anywhere from just less than $20 all the way up to a few hundred dollars. It's not only do-able, it's imperative. You can't afford not to.

There are many sites that offer quality information at very reasonable rates. If your budget is limited like mine, start with the least cost and go from there.

Endorsements are one of the most powerful marketing tools that you can use to promote a product or service. An endorsement simply is when a person talks or writes about a particular product or service in a favorable manner and recommends that you buy it at the end of the endorsement.

The reason why endorsements are so powerful is because they come >from someone that is trustworthy or who has developed a favorable reputation. For example, if you look at many products being sold on the market, companies use famous celebrities to endorse their products. The choose celebrities because they believe that the public will respond favorably to a popular person.

If you look at the athletic companies such as Nike, they use athletes such as Michael Jordan to promote their shoes. All the major cosmetic companies use pretty models to advertise their products. People admire and want to be like these people, so they purchase the products or services that are endorsed by these individuals.

Of course as soon as someone loses the respect of the public, sponsors quickly drop them from endorsing their products. This happened to Ben Johnson after the steroid scandal at the 1988 Olympics.

Endorsements are now becoming very popular on the Internet. I am certain that you have seen a few marketing gurus endorsing other people's products. These marketing gurus have earned the respect of the Internet community. When they recommend a product or service, people listen!

The response to written endorsements for a product or service on the Internet far outweighs those from classified ads. You do not have to be famous to endorse a product on the Internet. You just need to have developed a good reputation. For example, if you publish your own ezine, you have developed a relationship with your readers. A type of relationship where your readers will trust your judgment about a particular product or service.

If I like a product or service, I will usually endorse it in my ezines. I am part of various affiliate programs so I know that writing an endorsement for the product will surpass any results I would get from running a simple classified ad.

For example, I used the following endorsement in one of my ezines a few weeks back and the results I got for the product were much better than any other means of advertising that I did. An endorsement gives you the opportunity to precisely tell someone how you are benefiting from the product and how they can benefit too.

Do you have a product or service that other people could endorse? If you can get other people to endorse your products, you could quickly watch your sales skyrocket to the roof.
